More on CD Mastering....
You've worked hard on your project. Hours, days, weeks, even months in the studio getting everything just right (I know because I do the same thing myself). And now you want to get your project out there. Sure, it sounds great to your friends & family, but is it really ready to be heard by the pros?
First impressions are everything! If the pros don't like what they hear and aren't hooked within the first three to five seconds, that CD you've worked so hard on is going right into the trash. And that's why you need your CD mastered. Don't second guess yourself. Send only your best. You've come too far to still be asking yourself, "Is it really ready?". With great CD mastering you'll know it's ready.
So how do you find the right mastering studio for your project? There are a lot of choices, from the cheapest possible to the million dollar babies. Even if you are on a tight budget, you need to remember one thing - if you want to impress somebody (and that's really what this is all about!) you don't take them to McDonalds....
